From 13 to 18 November 2023, the Silicon Mountain Conference came back to Buea with a theme that says a lot about how this ecosystem works: It Takes a Village. The edition was organised by Jongo Hub.
Connect. Collaborate. Thrive.
Billed as Cameroon’s largest community tech, innovation and entrepreneurship gathering, SMCON23 filled its rooms with builders, founders, students and partners for talks, demos and exhibitions, from 3D printers on the exhibition floor to full audiences for every session.
The lesson carried into SMCON26: no single company, hub or institution builds an ecosystem alone. Every edition is made by the people who show up, and by the community that keeps them going between conferences.
